In Cologne, a photo of a man is making the rounds who is said to be talking to children. However, according to police, the man did nothing. The Cologne police are currently warning against the distribution of a certain photo in WhatsApp chat groups, which also appears on Facebook. Specifically, it is about the image of a man who is rumored to address children in the Esch, Lindweiler and Bilderstöckchen districts.

The Cologne police say:
A picture of a man who is supposed to address children in the Esch, Lindweiler and Bilderstöckchen districts is currently being shared in various Whatsapp groups.
Distributing the photo by sharing the post is legally inadmissible and can have criminal consequences.
The police identified the man on August 18th and held discussions with him and subsequently also with concerned parents, teachers, school administrators and the youth facility “Lucky's Haus”. The police have no information that would justify any danger to children suggested by the publication.
