So we think this is a rumor! “Everything you have ever posted will become public starting tomorrow.” When is this “tomorrow” actually supposed to be?

It's about this "declaration" that you should post in your timeline so as not to risk that everything you have ever posted (including what you have deleted!!!) will be published:

It's better to be safe than to be sorry. A lawyer recommended we post this. Good enough for me. Violation of privacy can be punished by law. NOTE: Facebook is now a public institution. All members must post such a note. If you do not post a statement at least once, you will be deemed to have given permission to use your photos and the information in your profile status updates. I hereby declare that I do not give my permission.

Copy and resend.

Meeting tomorrow !!! Everything you've ever posted will become public starting tomorrow. Deleted messages or photos are also not permitted.

A simple copy and paste costs nothing, better safe than sorry.

Channel 13 News talked about Facebook's privacy policy change.

I do not give Facebook or anyone affiliated with Facebook permission to use my images, information, messages or posts, either in the past or in the future. With this statement I am giving notice to Facebook. It is strictly prohibited to redistribute, copy, distribute or take any other action against me based on this profile and/or its contents. The content of this profile is confidential and confidential. Violation of privacy can be punished by law (UCC 1-308-1 308-103 and the Rome Statute).

NOTE: Facebook is now a public institution. All members must post such a note.

If you want, you can copy and paste this version.

If you do not post a statement at least once, it will technically allow the use of your photos as well as the information in profile status updates.

DO NOT SHARE. Copy and paste from your own site

A quick fact check

The information is extremely vague... let's first go back to the non-existent date.

“Tomorrow”, but more likely “sometime” around June 25, 2017… because by then this nonsense was already in circulation . Ergo, everything should have already been published by everyone who did NOT post this “statement” back then. And has everything been published? No.

Secondly, a lawyer is supposed to have advised this? Which one? An anonymous lawyer who doesn't want to be named? Extremely dubious or extremely fabricated to support a claim. Therefore, there are no proven sources as to when who said what and where.

But how does such a text come about?

Unfortunately, we still don't know exactly what the text is supposed to say.

However, it is not only available in German, but also in English. So this is not a current text - and therefore no current changes on Facebook.

The contradictions to the “UCC 1-308-1 1 308-103 and the Rome Statute ” are also not unknown to us – and Facebook:

Result:

There is no deadline, nor do you need to share or repost a revocation notice on Facebook.

Almost two years later, this text can safely be classified as a chain letter spreading false information. Because there’s no way everything will be posted publicly “tomorrow”!
