Kassel - Early on Tuesday morning, a previously unknown perpetrator stole a smartphone worth around 700 euros in the Fasanenhof district of Kassel.
The unknown man achieved this with a simple trick: he spoke to his victim on the street and asked what time it was. After she willingly took out her cell phone to read the time, the thief grabbed the smartphone and fled the scene.
According to the officers from the Mitte police station who were deployed to the crime scene, the theft occurred around 3:40 a.m. At that time, the 20-year-old victim was walking on Simmershäuser Straße.
