The Swiss trading company Migros is now reportedly adding a cat meat burger to its range.
This is what it says according to the Basler Bote from September 21, 2017 [ 1 ]. This is a reaction to the insect burger that competitor Coop added to its range in summer 2017. By the way, this is not a fake: since crickets, grasshoppers and mealworms can be sold for consumption in Switzerland, you can actually find this insect burger on the shelves of the Coop supermarket chain [ 2 ].
But what's the deal with cats? Is Migros really taking the fast lane? “The meat product should be available on the shelves of larger stores from the week after next.” You can read it at the Basler Boten.
