Children are said to have been pulled into a white van, the license plate of which can be seen in the photo. The video was seen, shared and commented on several thousand times. The video is fake news. The Wuppertal police are not aware of such a case.

Video of alleged child abduction deleted

The police have contacted the creator of the video. The video and another on the topic were deleted. Nevertheless, the video resurfaced on another platform, under a different account, and was once again viewed thousands of times.

The police warn

We appeal at this point: do not share the video. They contribute to spreading false information and stoking fears among the population. Criminal investigations into the case are ongoing.
