Even if the customer is based in Germany, he can also be punished to the same extent as the perpetrator locally because of his ability to influence the abusive perpetrator and the victim.
If German authorities have received tips about where the webcam is on the other side, colleagues abroad will be informed.
According to the public prosecutor's office, the man from Upper Bavaria faces 2 to 15 years in prison.
