Ulm – Physics clearly answered this question for a 20-year-old car driver. He was at the Ulm folk festival with three friends. The four of them headed home around 9:30 p.m.
The driver and his 20-year-old passenger sat down in their convertible in the Stockmahd parking lot. A 20-year-old and a 23-year-old man found it too tight in the car and wanted to ride in the trunk of the car. The driver didn't mind. The passengers opened the trunk lid and sat in with their backs to the direction of travel. The legs dangled in the open air.
As the driver pulled away, both fell out of the trunk. While the 20-year-old only slightly injured his hand, his companion hit his head on the road in the parking lot. It suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be taken immediately to the clinic for medical care.
