A decision that turned out to be a stroke of luck in several respects. The businessman was able to keep his money - two suspected fraudsters have been in custody since Thursday. The operator of a grocery store received his first visit from those now incarcerated at the beginning of April.
The two made initial contact through irrelevant conversations before returning in June with their true intentions. With a bit of 'hocus-pocus', the astonished businessman was shown how, after some shaking and shaking in a box, three usable banknotes could be obtained from a 20-euro note, two black-colored 20-euro notes and a chemical. Impressed by the idea and under the impression of this first miraculous increase in money, a second appointment was agreed, at which around 50,000 euros were to be tripled. During this meeting, the handcuffs clicked on Wednesday. With the support of a mobile task force, the two suspects, aged 33 and 34, were arrested and, after being presented to a judge and at the request of the Baden-Baden public prosecutor's office, were taken to a correctional facility on Thursday for attempted commercial and gang fraud.
