The Facebook page “Refrigerator” lures users with alleged profit.

The Fridge Facebook page is supposedly giving away 10 refrigerators. The Müller family had already shown the way. But it is questionable whether there will actually be a profit in the end.

Facebook page creators repeatedly use third-party identities to organize alleged competitions. They give the impression that they are official Facebook pages of well-known companies that have products to give away out of the blue.

However, the competition is just an excuse. The site also offers neither a proper imprint nor any other information about the organizer. Often such sites have only existed for a short time or were first “developed” and then sold, so that many users can already be reached.

Data brings money

Unfortunately, the actual purpose of these sites is limited to one thing: collecting data, selling magazine subscriptions and sending spam emails!

Even if you take part and think to yourself “Oh, if I play along, it won’t hurt anyone” – data always brings money and these sites will continue to exist in the future. Facebook pages that deceive you and make money from your personal data. Even a mere like maintains this type of page and harms you and your Facebook friends.
