How a protest mutates on social networks and unsettles users.

Not for the first time we received a request for the following video:

"Good Morning.
At the moment, the video with the “living corpses” is making the rounds again in connection with the riots in the Gaza Strip.
I know that the video is from at least 2015, rather older.
But I haven't been able to find out what's really behind it. My guess is more of a protest than a conscious fake. Does anyone know more about it?

The video is titled “ Pallywood – dead Palestinians are moving . Read below:

The world wants to see pictures and documentaries of evil, murdering Jews! The world orders…anti-Semites deliver! These are pictures that you shouldn't actually see………or even want to? Download quickly, because the truth needs a fast horse again these days! Today, telling the truth is almost considered a revolutionary act again! We live in dangerous times of a new dictatorship of opinion!

Well, that's all well and good, but is the truth supposedly announced here really true?

What is this footage all about? Staging, reality, fake news?

The video itself provides the first clue; it comes from Elbadil. Our colleague David Puente had already identified the origin of this video in 2017.
David Puente found the following (Editor's translation):

Let's start with the fact that the video shows the logo of the Egyptian newspaper Elbadil and not that of any supposedly Israeli web TV channel.

Let's also tell [Puente] that the Elbadil video was broadcast by an Israeli web TV channel (it would be interesting to know if that was perhaps from Israelvideowatch.com )[The Israelvideowatch website is for sale, that Video, under the title “The Islamic funeral that will make you cry from laughter” is therefore no longer available].

What was filmed is by no means a “staging” organized by Hamas (as claimed in some videos from 2014 and 2017 ). Just remember that the people in the video were sold victims of the Russian bombing

The video is from 2013 and is about a protest rally organized by students associated with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

This information can be found in the video posted by Elbadil:

Video: Representative presentation of bodies inside Al-Azhar University [Cairo].

Suddenly, a protest by students associated with the Muslim Brotherhood at Egypt's Al-Azhar University becomes first an alleged false flag action by the Palestinian Hamas and then allegedly fake Syrian deaths from Russian bombings or Assad.
And now Palestinians again. Is there so little well-founded footage that a harmless video from 2013 has to be relabeled again and again and misused for various purposes?

You always have to look closely at WHO is presenting WHAT to you as truth or as a deliberate fake.

In modern (civil) war, discrediting the respective opponent has become an important propaganda tool.

Therefore: check your sources. Don't believe everything. First think – then nod!
