French woman killed in Tyrol: search for suspect
In the case of the 20-year-old student Lucile K. from France, who was killed in Kufstein in Tyrol, there is apparently the first hot lead. The State Criminal Police Office continued to assume a “robbery with homicide”. There is nothing that would contradict that, said Pupp. The murder weapon, the 20-year-old's handbag and her cell phone have not yet been found, explained the LKA boss. The chief investigator did not want to provide any further information.
The suspect was described as 35 to 40 years old and between 1.70 and 1.80 meters tall. He was wearing a green parka jacket, black pants, a yellow T-shirt and a black cap. The woman's body was found on the banks of the Inn in the city of Kufstein. According to investigators, the attack could also have taken place on the promenade above.
The body of the French woman, who came from the Lyon area and had been studying in Kufstein for four months as part of an exchange program, was discovered by police officers on Sunday.
Friends and fellow students had previously reported the young woman missing. According to the autopsy, the cause of death was severe blows to the head.
