A police officer, a lost wallet, an honest finder... that's all it takes to bring a family back together through a simple loss and thanks to “Commissioner Coincidence”.

A police officer from Essen was on vacation with his wife on Lake Constance. However, while walking on a boat dock, he lost his wallet and all its contents. In addition to various ID cards, cash and personal items, the wallet also contained his ID card.

The officer was lucky, even before he noticed the loss, he received a call that his belongings had been found.

A very honest finder from Lindau saw the good piece lying on a bistro chair on the jetty and immediately informed the police.

Of course the policeman was happy and appreciated the honesty

So far, so beautiful...and now comes the special feature.

Determined to do something good for the finder, the police officer called the woman and thanked her warmly. It turns out that the finder's father has not had any contact with his family for 40 years.

The woman wasn't even sure if her father was still alive. Most recently, she reported, he lived in Essen. The officer went to this well-known address and lo and behold: the elderly man, who has now reached an advanced age, actually still lives there.

Initially impressed by the situation, the pensioner was happy...and perhaps, but the family members involved decide that entirely on their own, there will soon be a family reunion.

We think: A great event for a wallet that was originally lost!
