“Martinelli” goes into the next round: There are warnings about a virus again. The chain letter has been appearing again and again since 2017.

The chain letter warning about the “Martinelli” virus is currently circulating on WhatsApp. The content has been known for years , but now it has been expanded to include the warning of a “cyber war”:

Fake since 2017

This chain letter has been circulating since 2017.
There is always a warning that it should start “tomorrow”. However, so far it has not come true. And as early as 2017, the Spanish police pointed out on Twitter that it was fake.

So many warnings in one chain letter

On the one hand, there is a warning about the dangerous “Martinelli” video.
If you open this video, the smartphone will be “hacked” and the device will then be completely unusable. Likewise the video “Dance the Pope” – here, too, the smartphone should no longer be used after watching the video.
And then there’s “WhatsApp Gold,” which we reported on back in 2015 .
“WhatsApp Gold” was a fake version of WhatsApp. Supposedly there should be numerous features included in this premium version. But this was nonsense and led to a user trap. Now the warning of a cyber war has been added to the chain letter veteran, which can of course also be linked to the current events in the Ukraine crisis.

Conclusion

This chain letter has been circulating since 2017.
The announcement that “tomorrow” the virus or the videos that lead to a virus on the smartphone will be in circulation has been made known for around five years.
That would probably be around 1,600 “acres” where nothing has happened so far. The warnings in this chain letter are fake, as the Spanish police reported in 2017.
The best thing to do is to simply ignore these messages, not forward them and inform the sender that they are fake.
