For almost 20 years, maschek have been commenting on current political events with their fakes, turning off the sound of the important people and talking about it. But what to do when satire and political reality can no longer be clearly distinguished? Will the fake become the threatening truth 2.0 ?
maschek are no longer letting themselves be spoiled by real satire and are fighting back.
In their new program “FAKE! “In truth wrong” they concoct the world news for us over the course of an evening.

Peter Hörmanseder and Robert Schwanz know how it works: adding, leaving out, turning around. A well-made fake doesn't need anything more. In our high-speed times, there is guaranteed to be someone who spontaneously wants to share, or even has to share, the current outrage with the environment without pausing for a moment. “OMG! - This is just unreal!"
Leonardo da Vinci called truth a daughter of time, we call fakery the wayward son of our time. maschek try with “FAKE! In Truth False” a family constellation of truth and forgery and allows us to take a look into our own forger’s workshop.
Maschek get the raw material for an open-ended evening with moving image support across the television stations and YouTube channels. Synchronized. Improvised. Projected.
