Gerolzhofen, LKR. Schweinfurt - Two patrol crews from PI Gerolzhofen entered an apartment in the city area late on Wednesday evening because a swastika flag was publicly visible hanging on the window.
There were further acts of resistance by two residents. A 51-year-old and a 34-year-old were therefore taken into custody. Two officers were injured and were no longer able to continue their duties.
Shortly before 9 p.m., the police went to the city apartment. The reason for the police intervention was explained to the four people present there in a lengthy conversation. As the incident continued, a 51-year-old attacked the officers without warning and offered massive resistance, resulting in one officer being injured. The 51-year-old was taken into custody. Since he had apparently consumed alcohol and drugs, a blood sample was ordered from him on the orders of the Schweinfurt public prosecutor.
After the officers became aware of narcotics lying around during the conversation, a search of the apartment was carried out. A total of around 13 grams of hashish, 9 grams of cannabis, a ziplock bag of amphetamine and other drug paraphernalia were found. The swastika flag was also confiscated. A roommate here is suspected of having posted the flag on the window in a publicly visible manner.
During the search, another roommate came into the apartment and significantly disrupted the police operations. After he was also threatened with detention, he tried to punch an officer in the face. The 34-year-old therefore had to be overpowered using direct force. He fought back vehemently, kicked and injured another police officer. The injured police officers sought medical treatment that night.
The two men who were taken into custody had to spend the night in a police station holding cell and were released on Thursday morning. The residents are now being investigated for using license plates of unconstitutional organizations, resisting law enforcement officers and offenses under the Narcotics Act.
