Already annoyed by advertising for cryptocurrencies on Facebook and Instagram? Don't worry, there's more to come!

Facebook parent Meta will make it easier for companies to place crypto advertising in the future, simplify the previously cumbersome authentication process and loosen long-standing restrictions in this area. Instead of three, 27 different licenses will be accepted by authorities in the future.

More transparency as a goal

According to the company, the “further development and stabilization” of the crypto market justifies the current move. Other reasons for this would be the increase in government regulation, which sets clearer rules and responsibilities for the industry. Previously, advertisers had to submit an application containing all licenses, company details and information about previous trading on the stock exchange.

Although advertisers still need written permission to place advertisements, it will be much easier for many companies to advertise cryptocurrencies in the future. “These changes are intended to make our listing policies more transparent and help advertisers, especially small businesses, expand their reach and reach more customers,” said Meta.
