And once again a website has picked up the story of “Chunky” and chased it through the viral world of Facebook.

We have known this poor little dog for years. His story keeps coming up with different headlines. For example, in 2015 it read: “ Teenagers steal this dog, feed it drugs, set its face on fire and break its neck ”. In 2016, the report was published on another website with the following title: “ These teenagers force a dog to eat drugs. But when his owners find him again, he looks like this .” And now in 2017 it now reads: “ Teenagers set him on fire and break his legs - how he then reacts to people is unbelievable ”.
Even though these articles appear again and again on other websites on the Internet, they have something in common: the headlines are always very sensational and the story behind them is true. This is the current request that we received via our Facebook page:

Not every absurd report is false, not every accusation about young people who torture animals is made up. Unfortunately, as many users had hoped, we cannot call the following case a hoax, because the case is true!

The incident took place back in 2015!

“The Telegraph” had already reported on this case in November 2015.
A group of teenagers stole this little dog. After kicking him, they drugged the dog and ended up setting him on fire. The nightmare then ended at a landfill, where the teenagers got rid of the dog. Caroline Doe, from the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), said of the case:

“This was the worst case I have ever dealt with. “Still, when I think back, a shiver runs down my spine.”

The perpetrators themselves have already been convicted for this crime!

However, due to their age, they could not be prosecuted directly at the time.
The teenagers are no longer allowed to keep animals for 5 years and have to pay a fine of EUR 500 - 1,000. The RSPCA published the following status post on Facebook:
