The police are currently investigating a case of animal cruelty. She learned from the Lörrach animal protection association about a case that happened in Kandern over the Christmas holidays.
On Christmas Day, an injured cat ran into the residents of the Aussiedlerhof “Auf dem Sausenhard”, but could not be caught. This was only achieved two days later, when it was discovered that the cat had massive injuries.
The residents took the cat to a vet, but he was unable to help her. The injuries were too severe and the animal had to be euthanized. According to the facts, the approximately 1-year-old gray tabby cat was shot with a shotgun.
