The analysis of a radar image led officials to resort to a very harsh punishment. A driver pays 75 times as much and is also banned from driving for a month.

The police reported a speed trap near Kulmbach that flashed a passing car. The driver himself was going too fast at 11 kilometers per hour! This speeding violation normally results in a fine of 20 euros!

Not so in this case!

Because a driver drove through a speed limit with his middle finger extended in April, the Kulmbach district court imposed a heavy fine and a month's driving ban on the man for insulting him.

At the end of April, the 26-year-old was driving his car on the B289 federal highway towards Mainleus. During a speed check, the BMW driver exceeded the permitted speed limit of 70 by 11 kilometers per hour.

At the measuring point, the driver showed his extended middle finger in the direction of the camera. The Bayreuth traffic police officers then reported the speeding offender.

Instead of a warning fine of just 20 euros, which the driver would have had to pay for speeding, the Kulmbach district court imposed a fine of 1,500 euros and a one-month driving ban on the man.
