17-year-old came forward after sexual assault on women's carnival!

The public prosecutor's office and the Cologne police announce: After the sexual assault on a Belgian journalist during a live TV broadcast on Weiberfastnacht at the Alter Markt (February 4th), a young person (17) reported to the police on Friday.
The student appeared at a police station in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis on Friday afternoon (February 5th) accompanied by his mother.
He said he recognized himself on a video of the TV broadcast on a social network.
The young man was then immediately questioned at the Cologne criminal station. He denied that he had approached the journalist with sexually motivated intent.
It is being examined whether the 17-year-old can be accused of a crime.
The investigation into the still unknown man who, according to the video recording, touched the reporter inappropriately is continuing. (fr, dl)
