It was only by chance that a passer-by discovered a cat lying in a carrier bag in front of the right rear wheel of a car on Tuesday (5 p.m.) and thus probably saved her life.
The cat looked out of the fabric bag with its head, but was secured with the straps so that it was impossible for it to escape from the bag.
The woman notified the owner of the car and they freed the animal, whose origins are still unknown. The car was on Blankenheimer Strasse.
The Euskirchen police will accept information on 02251 799-0.
