+++UPDATE+++Homicide - quick search success

On Thursday (August 17th) a 65-year-old man was found dead in Reinbek.
The investigation points to a homicide. Due to the search for a 31-year-old suspect published yesterday, Friday afternoon, he was provisionally arrested by civil investigators from the Hamburg State Criminal Police Office at 10:35 p.m. near Allermöher See in Hamburg-Bergedorf, following information from the population. The Lübeck public prosecutor's office is planning a presentation to the judge late on Saturday afternoon (August 19th). After the Lübeck public prosecutor's office and the Lübeck homicide commission began their work in this case on Thursday evening, they were supported in their investigations by specialist detectives from the Lübeck district criminal investigation department, the local Reinbek criminal police and the Schleswig-Holstein State Criminal Police Office (LKA). Over the course of Friday morning, the suspicion against the victim's stepson, 31-year-old B., solidified.

At the request of the public prosecutor, the Lübeck district court then ordered the publication of a picture of the suspect for search purposes.
The press office of the Lübeck Police Department was responsible for implementing the public search in the media and social networks. The Hamburg police press office provided support as there were indications that the wanted suspect could possibly be in the nearby Hamburg area. Due to several useful tips from the public, civil investigators from the LKA Hamburg managed to temporarily arrest the wanted suspect in the Allermöher See recreation park on Friday evening (August 18th) at 10:35 p.m. without resistance.
The presentation before the magistrate will take place this afternoon.
Separate media information will then be issued about the results of the detention demonstration and the Lübeck public prosecutor's office will be available by telephone to answer questions. No further information will be provided until this point.
The investigators would like to thank the public and especially their colleagues in Hamburg for the support.
