We receive dozens of inquiries about a very serious quote. But as always, not everything that glitters is gold.

Even the lack of one small, important detail can change everything.
Often we just see what we want to believe and often enough people don't question whether what they are being served is really what it looks like.
It's about a picture that is shared on various Facebook pages.
An alleged quote from Aiman Mazyek, chairman of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany. This is how the post is shared:

This is what Mr. Mazyek is said to have said:

If the AfD succeeds in getting into the Bundestag in the 2017 federal election, then I will ensure that all Muslims leave Germany immediately!
Aiman Mazyek
Central Council of Muslims

Trust is good, control is better

Quotes like this immediately set alarm bells ringing at Mimikama.
Because such images look very familiar to us... ...and indeed.

We find the image again using a reverse search, but this version has a small but very important detail noted that immediately reveals what it really is. Source: Google search / Screenshot Mimikama
The quality is noticeably suffering due to a lot of downloading and uploading, but the lettering is still legible and says:

In Satira by Uwe Ostertag

This information was probably cut out or suppressed intentionally or unconsciously or through too much reuse.

Who is Uwe Ostertag?

Uwe Ostertag is not a blank slate.
According to his own statements, this is a (full-time) troll who knows how to take up current topics and knit quotes from them that would definitely pass as “real”.
And this is exactly where the crux of the matter lies - because the line between incitement and satire is thin and Ostertag has already had to answer in court .
22 months for incitement to hatred, grievous bodily harm, resistance to law enforcement officers, insults and use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations.
Not exactly what you would normally expect from someone who writes satire. The well-known “professional” troll even has his own homepage where he publishes his satirical and sarcastic images.
He himself points out that the truth content of the page is based on satire [sic!] and he assumes no responsibility for the reader. His memes keep floating around the internet, and people argue about them with considerable vehemence.
On the one hand, you will find well-known personalities from politics and the like who are being given a false quote, and on the other hand, you will usually find (unless it is intentionally removed) the imprint “In Satira Veritas by Uwe Ostertag”. . “The truth lies in satire,” is Uwe Ostertag’s motto.
The truth has now been left behind, the inscription now reads: In Satira.
Nevertheless... with these “fake” quotes he keeps causing unrest on the internet.
And that has been the case for a long time.
Let's take the integration tax from 2015, for example: A picture + made-up quote was taken as true by many without question. “ In Satira Veritas – The fairy tale of the integration tax ”.
According to Uwe Ostertag, it was satire .
Especially if this reference is simply cut out, as in this case, the satire is no longer recognizable as such. Nevertheless, this Facebook post is a fake quote !

And what does Aiman Mazyek say about it?
