Fake chatbot “Suzy” steals data!

Online orders are constantly increasing. It is therefore not surprising that attempted fraud regarding parcel deliveries continues to increase. The stitch is not new, but it still snaps shut regularly. And once is too many. The fraudsters pose as a “track trace” in conjunction with the “Post” or Post Express and send messages via email that a package is undeliverable and you now have to confirm your address. It is currently this email, which was already sent out in a similar form in the summer of 22:

If you clicked on the “Check here” button in the email, you would end up on a page for a virtual voice assistant named Suzy.

“Suzy” is pure camouflage!

You can add the missing information using the attached “private address” and “business address” buttons. Only then can the package be sent. That's a lie!

If you click on “Plan delivery and pay”, then in addition to your name, address, telephone number and email, credit card information will also be requested!

But not only that?

In the end, you also fall into a subscription trap of around EUR 48 per month for “personalized advertising”. So you have to pay to get spam! We haven't seen anything like this before!

Conclusion

Scammers pose as Post or DHL and send fake emails. If you come into contact with the chatbot, you will be ripped off. Not only are sensitive data such as name, telephone number and credit card information requested, but you also end up falling into a subscription trap of around EUR 48 per month!
