People tell us their stories. People send us their thoughts on “What would your life look like today without a pandemic?” (sic!)

I was working as a teacher in a special school when this started. I also did a part-time traineeship.

I taught my own class and commuted between 2 schools for the ref. At the time of the first lockdown in 2020, I was so overloaded with all the requirements that I knew I wouldn't pass the exams. I had trouble sleeping and panic attacks.

Then came the lockdown

The study seminar events ran online. So the 12-hour study day was canceled. No more 4 hour drive. The commute between my school and the high school was eliminated.

I could literally feel my brain gradually recovering from the overload and tension. Knowledge from the seminars no longer floated like fat eyes on soup, but I was able to process it in my brain.

Unfortunately, the first test still went wrong, but there was still the second lockdown.

I wouldn't have had the time without the Corona lockdown

This also helped me because I had the opportunity to think intensively about online offers and their structure for the special needs children. I wouldn't have had the time without the Corona lockdown.

My second exam was still in lockdown. But I passed.

Without Corona, I would never have overcome the mental, emotional and physical overload and would have failed my exams.
