Together with a friend, the 27-year-old looked for the little monsters while playing “PokemonGO” shortly after midnight. A trail led the two to a strange garden in the tranquil Alsdorf settlement of Busch. They searched the garden conspiratorially and quietly. Much to the chagrin of the 50-year-old homeowner, who sensed an acute risk of burglary due to the noises in his garden and armed himself accordingly to protect himself. With a wooden baseball bat. The police later also spoke to the hunter, the 50-year-old homeowner. He stated that he had assumed that burglars “were hanging around in his garden and wanted to steal”.
The 27-year-old decided not to seek medical treatment, expecting only bruises. Even though trespassing in other people's gardens is probably not explicitly covered in the rules of the game, the police asked people to use common sense and avoid such situations.
