On the CDU posters for the federal election in September, a party employee poses as a police officer on duty - and that is anything but well received.

The CDU apparently did not gain any new fans with this election campaign. On one of the posters for the upcoming federal election in September, the CDU is advertising, among other things, with a photo of an employee portraying a police officer on duty ( see HERE ). To the displeasure of the police union!

“Just as police officers are not allowed to go to party meetings in uniform, parties should not advertise themselves with fake police officers in our outfit. We are there for all citizens, not the garnish for election programs, not even those of police friends.”

According to Jörg Radek (Deputy Federal Chairman of the GdP), the CDU has not only crossed a moral boundary. Without accompanying text such as “Attention election advertising” this could also be a criminal offense in his opinion.
