WÜRZBURG - There was a police operation on the roof of an asylum seekers accommodation building on Veitshöchheimer Straße on Wednesday afternoon. Ultimately, no one was injured and two residents who were obviously mentally distressed were admitted to a district hospital.

The police received an emergency call from the property at around 2:30 p.m. When several Würzburg police patrols arrived, two of the residents were standing on the roof of one of the buildings there and threatened to jump down. Ultimately, the law enforcement officers managed to contact the two and convince them to abandon their plan.

The men, aged 19 and 30, were ultimately taken to a district hospital without any physical injuries. The rescue service and the fire department were also on site. The Würzburg City Police Department was in charge of operations.
