Ratzeburg/Wentorf near Hamburg: On February 24th, 2017, around 12:50 p.m., a dog owner went for a walk with her dog in the Lohe area (Wentorf near Hamburg).

There was a leg of pork lying on a tree behind an orchard, which the dog ate before the owner could intervene.

The dog then vomited the ingested pieces. There was also foam formation at the mouth. After veterinary treatment, the dog survived.

According to initial findings, the piece of meat had obviously been smeared with an unknown paste. The investigations are still ongoing.
