Different beliefs, different customs?
One might think that an Orthodox priest in a church near St. Petersburg mistreated an infant in such a way during a baptism. Although it is customary for the person being baptized to be completely immersed in water, this priest behaved so brutally that the mother intervened.

She contacted the police after the baptism and reported abrasions and bruises her son had suffered.
The priest, who says he has been baptizing children this way for 26 years, appeared unreasonable about the allegations. After all, nothing bad happened and the mother was probably bored.

Priest was suspended for a year!
The local diocese saw it differently. According to secretary Vladimir Glazunov, there have been complaints against the priest in the past. Anyone who saw it would have been shocked. The priest has now been suspended for a year and the family has asked for forgiveness from the diocese.
