You know it after a night of partying: waking up in the morning and wondering what was going on.
That's pretty much what QAnon followers feel.

On January 20, Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the USA. And contrary to all the predictions and hopes of QAnon supporters, nothing happened. Trump didn't jump on stage, the military didn't arrest Biden, and the "big storm" didn't happen at all. Not even a breeze.

Q – The beginnings

Since 2017, when an ominous “Q” first came forward on the message board 4chan, where anyone can post anonymously (hence “QAnon”), claimed to be a member of the government and began writing more or less cryptic messages, hope the followers of Q, called QAnon, are waiting for the great revolution.

The first news from Q already caused a stir:
Hillary Clinton was soon to be arrested (never happened) and pedophile elites were running a child pornography ring under a pizzeria in Washington, which led to a man with an assault rifle attacking said pizzeria to free supposedly detained children. Not surprisingly, the police found nothing in the basement.

The missing showdown

QAnon supporters had already gained hope on January 6th, but the storming of the Capitol was supposed to be the movement's last peak for the time being. Instead of a revolution, the following days saw many arrests of members of the mob, who happily filmed each other.

Then there was still hope for January 17th, since Q is the 17th letter of the alphabet. But nothing moving happened that day either. Just like on January 20th, when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were sworn in without incident.

sadness and disappointment

And so it happened as it had to happen: Many QAnon supporters realized how much they were actually attached to a false belief:

Nothing has happened
Nothing has happened

Many watched the swearing-in with excitement and waited for the storm, which never arrived:

The storm stopped
The storm stopped

It has to be said that this is only funny to a limited extent, as the conspiracy theories spread by QAnons about pedophile Satanist elites were taken very seriously by many followers:
For them, Joe Biden is Satan himself, so QAnons are now despairing.

The right-wing extremist “Proud Boys”, who swore their “undying loyalty” to Trump after the US election last year, are also disappointed that Trump voluntarily left the White House: They describe him as extremely weak and call on their supporters to stop attending rallies and protests for Trump or the Republicans ( see HERE ).

The suspected Q gives up

The former 4chan board, where the whole QAnon hustle and bustle started, became 8kun, where it continued. The board's former admin, Ron Watkins, who is suspected to be Q, is now also throwing in the towel:

Suspected Q gives up
Suspected Q gives up

“We gave everything.
Now we have to keep our heads up and return to our old lives as best we can. We now have a new president, and it is our responsibility as citizens to respect the Constitution, regardless of whether we agree with the details or the people.
As we move into this next administration, please remember all the friends and fond memories we have had together over the past few years.”

Q vadis, QAnon?

The movement will certainly not disappear immediately, but it is clear that many are turning away. What will remain are the hardcore supporters for whom no conspiracy theory is too confusing to believe that there might not be something to it.

Some suspected that Biden was just a hologram, others speculated that the swearing in was just a deception of the public and that in reality Trump continued to act in the background.

And still others believe that Trump and Biden swapped faces during an operation:
If Biden mumbles or stutters, then it's just Trump trying to imitate Biden as best as possible:

Face off
Face off

So the movement will stay, but it will probably become a little more crazy (i.e. even more than it already is) - and also more dangerous, because there is absolutely no logic any longer for the remaining followers.
