Wolfsburg: The police are looking for a fleeing cyclist who physically attacked a security service employee

As the 'Wolfsburger Allgemeine' reports, a cyclist brutally beat an employee of the city's public order service several times.

The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. in the pedestrian zone at the City Gallery.

Two law enforcement officers wanted to stop a cyclist on a green mountain bike after it was forbidden to cycle in the pedestrian zone.

He refused to get off the bike and fled.

They met the man again on Hugo-Bork-Platz near the wolf sculptures and asked him to show his identity card.

The unknown man suddenly struck several times with his fists after he tried to escape again and a police officer held his bike.

After the woman let go of the bike, he fled between two buildings onto Kolpingstrasse.

“As the pedestrian zone was very busy at the time and there were a lot of people sitting in the cafés around the wolf sculptures, we hope that witnesses observed the incident,”

says police spokesman Thomas Figge.
