Remagen - On Sunday, August 6th, 2017, around 1:20 p.m. there was a rescue operation of a person in need of help on the banks of the Rhine in Remagen. She was rescued from the impassable bank area by the police and fire brigade so that she could then receive medical care.

The landing of the rescue helicopter with an emergency doctor was significantly impaired by a previously unknown middle-aged male person who was filming the rescue operation. Since the man only reluctantly left the area required for the helicopter to land after repeated requests from the pilot and a firefighter, there were delays in landing and medical care. The pilot was also insulted by the man after landing. He then walked away towards the city center.

Description:

The man can be described as follows:

  • Central Europeans
  • 30 to 40 years
  • about 1.85 m
  • slim
  • athletic figure
  • short hair

Dressed in:

  • Sneakers
  • Cap and sunglasses
  • He wore his blue and black outerwear under his arm, and his upper body was free.

He is said to have been accompanied by an older woman and a 5 to 7 year old child.
Witnesses who can provide information about the man's identity are asked to contact the Remagen police station.
