A picture has been doing the rounds for a few hours showing a poster on the window of a REWE market in Erkelenz (NRW).

Apparently Rewe wants to ban TALKING so that aerosols don't spread! It is this poster. It says: “No talking in the supermarket!!! In order not to spread aerosols, speaking is no longer allowed in this supermarket!”

Rewe: "Talking is forbidden in the supermarket!!! In order not to spread aerosols, speaking is no longer allowed in this supermarket"

According to the market manager, we contacted him by phone today, this poster and other posters were deliberately placed there by RTL for a filming of the program “ EXPLOSIV ” on January 14th, 2021 at 6 p.m. , but have since been removed again.

The purpose: To draw attention to the tightening of the Corona rules and the requirement of silence in public transport, which currently prevail in Spain/Mallorca! See: “ Coronavirus in Mallorca and Ibiza: Bus and train drivers should remain silent – drastic measures despite protests

RTL did the test at this REWE market. How would this ban be received in Germany? How do people in Germany react to this?

The question now arises as to whether REWE and RTL are doing themselves a favor with such a campaign, because we see the problem here from experience:

This fake, this poster, this meme will keep making the rounds on the internet because it will be copied and re-uploaded again and again by users and in the end no one will remember the background information that it was a film by RTL .

We will find out more on January 14th, 2021 at 6 p.m. -> TV-NOW / Explosiv (The report can be seen from approximately minute 5:00 to 8:45).
