A recall campaign of the Kaufland own brand “K-Classic Salami” has been running since Friday due to the risk of injury from small pieces of metal

After Kaufland Warenhandel GmbH & Co. KG (headquarters: Neckarsulm/BW) recalled a private label salami at the beginning of the year due to salmonella contamination, another salami is affected by a recall.

This time “it cannot be completely ruled out that individual packages contain... small pieces of metal that could potentially cause injuries if consumed.”

The currently affected product: “Salami, smoked, very finely sliced, top quality” from the Kaufland own brand “K-Classic” in the 200 g pack with the “EAN 4300175996358” and the best-before date “10/19/2016” (back of the pack).

The company writes in its press release about a nationwide recall. As a precaution, Kaufland immediately removed the affected goods from sale.

Consumers can return the product to any Kaufland branch for a refund of the purchase price, of course without presenting the receipt.

A free hotline is available for inquiries on 08 00/1 52 83 52.

Depending on their size and nature, metal foreign bodies can pose a cut/stab hazard and cause shortness of breath if swallowed; The risk of suffocation cannot be completely ruled out.
