Hamburg - On Friday evening, two families got into an argument in a follow-up accommodation in Hamburg-Fischbek, which ultimately ended in a mass brawl. The responsible State Criminal Police Office 183 has taken over the investigation.

According to the current status of the investigation, a Chechen boy and a Syrian girl got into an argument in a subsequent accommodation on Cuxhavener Straße. As the argument progressed, the children's fathers intervened and clashed themselves. When the boy's father wanted to leave the accommodation afterwards, he threatened that he would come back with a group.

The crew of the radio patrol car Peter 47/1, who had been notified via an emergency call, appeared on site and tried to clarify the matter when suddenly around 30-40 men came onto the property's premises. The group of people, who were armed with striking tools, quickly walked towards the officers and the girl's family members who were on site.

A fight broke out between the two families, in which the attacking group hit the people with rods and other striking tools.

Due to the massive impact on individuals, one of the emergency officers fired a warning shot.

The situation suddenly calmed down and the group of perpetrators fled towards the Sandbeksiedlung.

An immediate search with 10 radio patrol cars yielded negative results.

Four Syrians (22,24,26,31) and one Syrian woman (15) were injured in the altercation and were treated as outpatients in a hospital.

A 35-year-old suspect from Chechnya was also injured and taken to hospital.

The responsible State Criminal Police Office 183 took over the further investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
