In recent days, a sharepic surfaced with the headline "Biden 'Child Porn' Shock." This is said to have been a cover story in Australia.

Stories of pedophilia are often woven around US President-elect Joe Biden, but also around his son Hunter. This is also the case in a sharepic that speaks of a “Biden 'Child Porn' shock” that happened to his son Hunter.

A sharepic with this claim has been circulating internationally for several days. The exact claim is that a story about US President-elect Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, made the front page in Australia. The article's headline read, "Biden 'Child Porn' Shock."

The US fact checkers at Snopes have already looked into this claim. After a fact check, Snopes discovered that this claim is fake.

Although the story with the title exists, it appeared in a tabloid newspaper. Furthermore, it did not appear as a headline on the front page of the issue. The entire story wasn't mentioned anywhere near the front page, like the sharepic claims.

What Snopes writes about “Biden ‘Child Porn’ Shock.”

Even though these sharepics about the supposed "Biden 'Child Porn' Shock" have only recently been distributed more frequently, the entire story dates back to October 2020. So BEFORE the elections in the USA and in the middle of the hot election campaign phase.

According to Snopes, Australian tabloid The Daily Telegraph published the article. It claimed that Hunter Biden became “the hunted amid allegations of underage images on his laptop” (see here ).

Personal attorney Rudy Giuliani is cited in the article. He reported that there were “numerous” images that he described as images of underage girls. In total there are said to be over 25,000 images.

But this “Biden ‘Child Porn’ Shock” was fake. Politifact US fact-checkers previously reported that there was no evidence that a laptop previously owned by Hunter Biden contained child pornography. The accusation comes from an anonymous internet forum that is a well-known source of online disinformation. Politifact's entire here.
