Apolda - On the night from Friday to Saturday, unknown perpetrators gave free rein to their destructive rage in the Apolda city area. The full extent of the vandalism only became apparent in the morning.

Two window panes in the indoor swimming pool were damaged and a shelter at the main train station was deglazed. In Paulinenpark, the perpetrators snapped the branches of several young trees and tore a sign from the foundation.

They then placed the sign on the road on Bernhardstrasse so that a driver overlooked the obstacle in the dark and ran over it. In Tyroffstrasse they placed a container of used clothing on the road.

In the Stegmannstrasse area, stones were thrown against the window front of a fitness studio. The result was at least 23 hits and six damaged windows.

According to current estimates, the amount of damage is at least 10,000 euros.

The Apolda police are looking for witnesses!
