The Rhineland-Palatinate State Criminal Police Office warns of fake letters in connection with the corona vaccination!

The Rhineland-Palatinate State Criminal Police Office warns against fake letters in which recipients are informed of their supposed appointment for vaccination against the corona virus. The deceptively real-looking letters were last discovered in the Rhine-Palatinate district. The local health department is listed as the sender.

It cannot be ruled out that such forged letters were also sent elsewhere in the country.

The subject of the letter is “Appointment confirmation for vaccination against SARS-CoV-2”.

An exact date is given when the vaccination is supposed to take place. The letter also contains a QR code. If this is scanned with a smartphone, it becomes clear that it is obviously a fake letter from anti-vaccination activists.

If other recipients have received the fake letters, they are asked to report to the local police station.

The LKA also warns of a scam in connection with the corona vaccinations that are about to begin: In North Rhine-Westphalia, a case became known in which fraudsters called a senior citizen and pretended to be an employee of a vaccine company.

They offered the woman a corona vaccine package for 6,000 euros. Luckily, the woman saw through the scam and informed the police. The state of Rhineland-Palatinate has been offering information about corona vaccinations since today on the telephone number 0800/57 58 100 (Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays and public holidays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.) . The first vaccinations are scheduled to start next Sunday in selected senior citizens' facilities for residents and employees by mobile vaccination teams.
