Today at around 2:45 p.m. there was a SEK operation in Kiefernweg in Reinbek, during which a blank pistol was seized and a man was taken into custody

A 44-year-old tenant of Kiefernweg 18 went to a neighbor around 12 p.m. and asked her to call the emergency services because someone had collapsed in his apartment.

After the neighbor's emergency call, an ambulance and an emergency doctor arrived on site. The 44-year-old asked the rescue workers to his apartment

In the living room, paramedics noticed a handgun lying on a chair.

When the homeowner reached for the weapon, the rescue workers quickly left the apartment and called the police at around 12:25 p.m.

No one was specifically threatened and no hostages were taken. The occupant of the apartment is not known to the police. There was no evidence of legitimate possession of weapons.

Since it was not known whether it was a “sharp” weapon, the officers called locked and secured the apartment block.

The special operations team was then alerted.

The SEK officers entered the apartment around 2:45 p.m. and were able to take the 44-year-old into custody without any resistance.

No one was injured during the operation. A blank gun was found in the living room, which was placed under the living room table.

No injured or collapsed person was found in the apartment. The 44-year-old was taken to the Reinbek police station.

The background to the incident is still unclear. The operation was over at 3:15 p.m.
