Blumenau – As already reported, several hundred thousand euros were stolen from a cash-in-transit van in Blumenau on August 24, 2017 at around 8:25 a.m.
Initial investigations revealed that the money was stolen by the driver of the money transporter, a 26-year-old Serb from Dachau.
Appropriate searches were then initiated as part of the investigation.
The Munich Police Headquarters was informed via the Federal Criminal Police Office on August 26, 2017 that the suspect was arrested in Hungary in the early evening of August 25, 2017 when he tried to leave Hungary on foot via a border crossing to Serbia.
