DKMS: Every 15 minutes a person in Germany receives the devastating diagnosis of blood cancer. Many patients are children and adolescents whose only chance of recovery is a stem cell donation. But one in seven patients cannot find a donor.

It is the fate of a tiny girl that once again moves us very much. Sofia's family and friends are leaving no stone unturned to find a #stem cell donor for the little princess:
“#Sofia is 12 weeks young. She didn't harm anyone. She doesn't yet know what it means to run, play and enjoy life. But she has to fight. It's about her young, innocent life. She has #leukemia and urgently needs a suitable stem cell donor.
Sofia's parents are currently experiencing the worst time of their lives and yet they still find the strength to make people aware of this terrible disease and to ask them to URGENTLY register with the DKMS.
Not only to quickly find a suitable donor for your little princess, but to show everyone how quickly you can save lives. Not just her own daughter.
We hear again and again about strokes of fate that happen to many families. We are horrified, empathize, talk about it and even deal with it to some extent.
But what if it happens right on our doorstep? Then at the latest we realize how close these situations are. How quickly does it affect people in our immediate environment? How quickly ourselves?”
