Is this story true?

A pop star bitten by a giant spider in her sleep and seriously injured as a result?

“For many of us, there is hardly a worse scenario than being woken up by a spider in our sleep. For ex-“The Voice” candidate Meghan Linsey, this nightmare came true. A highly poisonous giant spider bit the singer on the face while she was sleeping. With terrible consequences..."

This story is partly true, but is not current, but appeared in March 2017, the bite itself happened in February 2017.

Meghan Linsey was bitten by the brown recluse spider while she was sleeping. This spider is quite common in the USA and the bite can cause very severe necrosis of the skin.

However, the animal is not aggressive and only bites when it is in danger of being crushed. It fits that Meghan Linsey had the dead spider in her hand. She probably noticed the animal on her face while she was sleeping, accidentally crushed it and was bitten in the face (speculation, but seems plausible).
The brown recluse spider It's not a giant spider either, but is 0.6-2cm in size, so it's rather small, not big.
However, the poison is very dangerous and deaths also occur. In particular, as here, large necrosis of the skin can be observed, which must be treated very intensively because they heal poorly.
Meghan Linsey has the bite the Spider from February 2017 He survived very well and is completely healthy again.

On the left picture you can see a “spider” that we probably all know, namely a harvestman.
These arachnids are very small and have neither spinnerets nor venom glands and feed on microscopic arthropods and dead insects. The harvestmen's jaw claws are so small that they cannot even injure human skin.

So: picture and story don't fit together, not at all!

The brown recluse spider looks like this !
So again a “mistake” or an exaggeration, but why?
And why is this story being published again a good 10 months after the bite, on November 27th, 2017? Quite simply, it's about the clicks and likes; this is where disgust is played, which is supposedly particularly strong in girls, in order to attract attention.
But the fact is that the brown recluse spider does not occur in Germany, is not aggressive, is rather small, but very poisonous.
Spiders are very useful animals and anyone who has looked at their feet will also notice that they have a very cute side. There are no dangerous spiders in Germany unless you are allergic to their venom, but that applies to almost everything.

this is precious. #spiderpaw #cute #fluffy #frightpuppies
