Researchers have found that spy apps can query WhatsApp users about their online status or recent interactions.
Most people know that WhatsApp users cannot hide from their contacts when they are online or typing a message. However, anyone can gain access to the usage behavior of WhatsApp users using simple means.
Telephone number is sufficient for follow-up
A study (LINK: traced.app ) by the security company Trace showed that just the phone number of WhatsApp users is enough to query their activities. This includes both online behavior and the creation of entire reports on the use of the messenger. The apps used for this purpose were originally intended to give parents the opportunity to keep an eye on their children's activities.
