Northeim - Bishausen: On Wednesday morning, January 25, 2017, a resident of Feldtorstrasse found a dead puppy on his property.

The animal was missing large parts of its skull.

Already on Sunday evening (January 22, 2017), walkers found a dead puppy from probably the same litter with identical injuries on the road on Feldtorstrasse.

In order to clarify the background that led to the puppies' deaths, an employee of the Northeim district veterinary office was called in.

The puppy was taken by the vet and x-rayed at the Northeim animal clinic.

The x-ray showed traces of a bite. Further investigations by the Nörten-Hardenberg police station are ongoing.

The puppies are probably mixed breeds.

Witnesses who have information about the origin of the puppies or who can provide other relevant information are asked to contact the Nörten-Hardenberg police on 05503-1004.
