The LKA Saxony-Anhalt is asking for help
In the midday hours of July 5, 2016, a paddler who was traveling on the Elbe informed our colleagues in Saxony-Anhalt about a container that may have contained a human body.
The paddler's suspicions were confirmed: a male body was found in the metal box. The body was recovered and transferred to the forensic medicine in Halle (Saale). According to an initial forensic medical examination, the man has injuries that indicate a homicide.
The following information is currently available regarding the description of the person killed:
– middle-aged
– athletic build
– weighs around 75 kg
– around 180 cm tall
The tattoo “Michaela” can be found in black ink on the left forearm, and the corpse wore a gold ring on the right ring finger, which also has the engraving “Michaela” on the inside.
Based on the condition of the body, forensic medicine assumes that the man's death may have occurred several weeks ago. It is not clear how the box got to where it was found, nor how long it had been there.
The metal box resembles a tool chest and has a distinctive black inscription on the front. There are two stickers on the inside of the lid, one of which reads “Original BETRA Quality”. The second sticker shows two Mainzelmännchen and the inscription “ZDF”.
