Heidelberg - Between Tuesday and Wednesday, a previously unknown perpetrator climbed over the fence of a property on Leimer Strasse, used brute force to open a rabbit hutch and killed one of the two rabbits in an unknown manner.
The owners found the lifeless animal in the stable on Wednesday afternoon around 4 p.m.
The second animal ran around uninjured outside the cage in the garden area. The cage was damaged. The stranger left a note on the property asking the garden tenants to stop keeping small animals.
The Heidelberg-Süd police station has started the investigation.
