Bad Hersfeld - Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 4 p.m., the police in Rotenburg received a call from a concerned citizen from Bebra, Auestrasse.

A man rang the doorbell and pretended to be an employee of Unity Media. The man was wearing a blue jacket with the company logo on it. He should check the connection sockets in the apartment. The 69-year-old from Bebran let the man into the apartment, but not out of his sight. When leaving, the unknown person wanted to sell an electricity contract from a well-known electricity provider.
However, the pensioner did not agree to anything. The pensioner then called Unity Media because the matter seemed strange to him. There he was advised to contact the police immediately as there were no employees currently in Bebra. The unknown person had also rang the doorbell of the pensioner's neighbor and said it wasn't open there, so he continued towards Hersfelder Straße.

Description

The unknown person is said to be around 25 years old, around 1.65m tall, with a normal build and dark blonde hair.
