Greifswald - The Lisztaffe, which was stolen from the Greifswald Zoo on March 7th, 2017, was safely taken back to the Greifswald Zoo yesterday (March 11th, 2017).

The head of the zoo informed the police in the evening that they had found out from an anonymous call that the monkey was in a bag in a new development in Greifswald. Two zoo employees were able to find the Liszt monkey at the location described by the caller and bring it back to the zoo.

The monkey is currently in quarantine here and, after a medical examination, may be released back into an aviary with its peers in the next few days.

The criminal investigation into the background to the theft and the suspect(s) continues.
