Düsseldorf - Using photos from the surveillance camera, the Düsseldorf police are searching for an unknown person who is suspected of being involved in commercial fraud in 2016.
In the fall of last year, a dummy company based in Düsseldorf offered high-quality used vehicles for sale on internet platforms that actually did not exist.
Numerous unsuspecting customers contacted the company, concluded sales contracts and transferred deposits for the vehicles to an account that was apparently set up exclusively for fraud by at least one unknown person.
During subsequent cash withdrawals in November 2016, the unknown person was recorded by surveillance cameras in Düsseldorf-Friedrichstadt. There are indications that the perpetrators were also active in Krefeld and Moers. The damage amount amounts to a six-figure amount.
The police ask:
Who knows this man or can provide information about his whereabouts?
The Criminal Investigation Department 21 in Düsseldorf accepts information on 0211/870-0.
